Typical Geminian jobs fall under the umbrella of communication so they might be, or desire to become, a writer, publisher, researcher, translator, teacher, broadcaster or social media star.

Their attitude towards making money is very lively and upbeat. They enjoy coming up with new and interesting new projects and business ideas and testing them out can be just as much fun as finding success with them.

Physical Belongings

These natives usually have a wide and oftentimes outright eccentric taste in all sorts of things. A good friend from art school has this placement. She makes cute, unique animations for a living. Her ideas are phenomenally creative and she knows how to turn them into reality. Her current salary is impressive but as successful as she is, her money management methods are essentially non-existent. Her expenses go forever untracked and she’s admitted to not having a savings account let alone any investments.

Another friend with this house placement frequently has more than one job on the go because, to quote him, “having just one job is stupidly boring”, which strikes me as a very Geminian thing to say. It seems that job variation is very important here as it’s obviously more engaging and mentally stimulating than having just the one.

These individuals tend to live with a view for the present moment and thus can be unfocused, easily bored and distracted when it comes to sorting the little — but vital — things in life like managing money and making careful plans for the future. Of course, all this can be easily improved with enough willpower and focus.

Self Esteem and Self Worth

They feel at their best and value themselves the most when they’ve achieved a certain level of education. For some, no amount of qualifications will be enough to feel intellectually satiated. However, most are comfortable with one degree or trade and will be itching to begin applying their knowledge in the real world from a young age.

Similar to the celestial twins in the constellation of Gemini, there’s a duality to their self value. On the one hand, they are self-effacing and on the other self-assured. Such duality is common throughout the human race but can be more pronounced here depending on what else is in the birth chart.

And while they flow between the two states of mind depending on the situation and the company they are in, they’re also perfectly capable of becoming far more self-assured should they choose.

They’re naturally adept at thinking of the most unique and smart ways to make money. Online ideas could include blogging, selling print on demand designs, reviewing things online, running a podcast or just making really fun and novel video content. 

The list of skills and talents is endless here because essentially, anything that piques their interest could become a skill or talent if they keep on working at it.

They should watch out for becoming interested in too many things and spreading themselves too thin. Some people with this placement never really take the time to focus on one thing long enough to become truly skilled at it. Dominant Element

As an example, someone might be a Virgo (Sun sign) with a Libra Moon sign but the dominant element is fire owing to a lot of fire being present elsewhere in the birth chart. Fire Dominant

Risks and challenges aren’t avoided or frightened of here — they are happily embraced because they breathe action and fun into life. Although Gemini is analytical, it’s an energy with child-like enthusiasm that gets excited quickly and jumps into things that look interesting.

Thoughts and emotions surrounding work, resources, possessions and financial matters are communicated with directness, conviction and boldness. Some might find this too direct or intimidating but these individuals feel very strongly about these life aspects and feel compelled to clearly communicate about them.

Geminian dexterity and liveliness in the workplace can be a great asset but these people can occasionally feel a little high strung and uncontrollable. If they are sensitive, they will need periods of rest away from others and too much pressure and stimulation.

I have a cousin with this placement and she’s an avid collector of all sorts of fossils and crystals. Her Sun sign is Leo and her Moon sign is Sagittarius. Her beautifully styled home is loaded with intriguing colorful specimens. She speaks passionately about her pieces and clearly cherishes them. I believe that these natives form powerful attachments to their belongings and love them deeply, whatever they may be.

Earth Dominant

Earth types are the hardest and most resilient of workers. With Gemini energy aiding them, their approach to work, money, and other second house matters is clever, lively, quick and adaptable. 

Earthly matters like having lots of money and enjoying the finer things in life are of great importance to them so they put their minds to work to create as much of it as possible. Financial matters including investments are always approached with copious amounts of analysis and rationality.

Earth is cautious and reserved but when Gemini is added, they may be less cautious about openly discussing their feelings and thoughts about their finances although this depends on who they are talking to. 

Those with Virgo or Capricorn as dominant signs will be a little wary about disclosing their income, home price, and so on with strangers but will be a lot freer with people who they know like friends and colleagues. 

The home is likely to be filled with practical yet sweet and quirky things, many of which are close to their heart for one reason or another. They form strong emotional bonds to such items and they won’t let go of them, especially if Taurus is a dominant sign. Sometimes, in extreme circumstances, hoarding becomes an issue, especially after mid-life.

My first partner had this combination of energies. He was a genius and a diligent student at University. And despite studying so hard, he still found the time for a job and an active social life.

Air Dominant

Here, air meets air. These individuals are intellectual and value intellectualism in themselves and others — perhaps more than anything else. They are provided with a strong sense of security and purpose when they know they are mentally equipped to take care of themselves, make a good living and navigate this frequently bewildering world. 

Feelings and ideas are communicated with ease and grace especially when discussing their work, resources and belongings. They are able openly discuss how they feel about the things they have, including their personal traits, values and ethics. It makes them feel seen and sane. 

As much as they would ideally like to dive straight into new and exciting ventures and side-hustles, their logical minds work as a safeguard to prevent them from doing so. Only once they have examined the idea from every angle will they make a move — and even then only tentatively. 

Curious about how things work and the world at large, contentment with just one income stream is unlikely. They need to be mentally challenged and allow themselves to dream and make their ideas happen. 

Whether they are or aren’t self employed, at heart they are an entrepreneur because that is the only lifestyle that will allow them to explore multiple avenues for income and bring their diverse ideas and interests to fruition. If they are in full-time employment, some weird and wonderful side hustles will certainly be abound. 

Their taste in material possessions is eccentric and timeless. Like children, they are drawn to shiny, colorful and fun things but also to anything that intrigues them. They have the uncanny knack of discovering the weirdest of items online and in all sorts of quaint little boutiques. 

Many of these individuals enjoy anything supernatural or occult related and could collect some rather odd things related to those fields like memento mori. Although, this is more likely if Scorpio is heavily present in the birth chart. 

Water Dominant

Their work becomes boring as soon as stops being meaningful to them. While earth dominant types can stay in jobs no matter how they ‘feel’ about them, water dominant types need to feel emotionally connected to what they do every day. 

That is not to say that the lure of multiple income streams will dissipate at all. It won’t — more than one job is still often desired to keep them feeling like they have enough variation in their lives and satisfy their curious, active minds. 

Not only are their homes overflowing with all sorts of strangely spectacular things but they are emotionally attached to almost every single one of their belongings. 

Someone could easily pick a random item anywhere in their home and these individuals will be able to reel off a quirky short story of when and where it came into their possession. I find this really sweet and it perfectly reflects their rich, emotional inner landscape. 

Being intellectually and emotionally curious, they apply what they know to their personal resources and values. If they don’t understand how something works, such as an investment vehicle, they will take plenty of time to find out about it and explore how they intuitively feel about it before taking any action around it. 

They feel free to discuss their finances, personal resources and values with others but only up to a certain point. If Scorpio or Cancer are dominant signs, they will be more a little more reluctant and cautious. They prefer to share their opinions and ideas about money matters more generally. 

It would be wise for them to avoid spending too much time in their heads ruminating over the past and or just overthinking things generally. Too much analysis of situations usually leads to a lack of action or ‘analysis paralysis’, as it’s often referred to.
