2nd House

Known as the House of Material Wealth, the 2nd house is mostly about what is physical in life; money, property, valuable belongings, and so forth. It’s also about the personal values, skills, and talents we possess that may help us to accumulate material wealth. It’s therefore also referred to as the House of Personal Values. It’s linked to the sign of Taurus, the bull; an animal that is  associated in astrology with creature comforts, both large and small.

If it happens to be empty, as in, without any planets posited in it, that just means that the sign on the cusp bears more significance.
