Pisces in 4th House: A Soulful Sanctuary
Home and Domestic Life
Their ideal dwelling is one where they feel completely safe and comfortable. It’s also where they can carry out their ideal vision of family life. Sometimes this won’t matter how much this costs to achieve because in their view, you just can’t put a price on joy and fulfilment.
There’s often an artsy kind of vibe throughout their home. They enjoy creating artwork from home, especially beautiful or whimsical paintings or sculpture. They also enjoy creating a wonderful atmosphere in their home with the use of gentle fragrances. Their home likely reflects their love for the arts as well as for romance, nature and beauty.
There could be something confusing or chaotic about their home life, though, especially as children. Maybe there were lots of people living under one roof. They may own numerous pets, including fish and other aquatic animals. Maybe their home is a chronically messy because they grew accustomed to living in a messy home from a young age. Or, on the other hand, they can’t stand mess because they grew up with it and in their adults years keep a pristine, minimalist home.
Perhaps they enjoy praying in their home or carrying out some other type of spiritual activity like meditation. Many of these people feel a connection to the paranormal and may enjoy activities such as tarot card reading for themselves at home.
Wherever they live, their home must “feel” right to them. And being able to read energy thanks to how sensitive and empathic they are, they know quickly and intuitively what type of home would be a good energetic fit for them and their family.
Property
Pisces can be surprisingly shrewd. While these people may spend quite a bit on their own home for their own comfort and security, they may also own other properties bought at a good prices as investments. Like Aquarius, Pisces energy likes to be ethical about its investments so they’re typically well considered. If they own any land other than the plot their home is situated on, it could be near a body of water such as a beautiful still lake.
The Mother or Primary Caregiver
Their mother, or primary caregiver, could have been a very creative person. She may have enjoyed creating artwork at home and decorated her home with pretty, natural decor. Her appreciation for art and beauty may have led to her encouraging her children especially her daughters, to be graceful and look beautiful. She could have even viewed them as her own works of art!
She may have been somewhat idealistic about family life. Perhaps she envisaged the perfect family and domestic life but the reality was a little distanced from perfection as life usually is… She did her best, however, to create wonderful experiences for her children and maintain a pleasant and supportive home life for them.
She maintained a nurturing atmosphere at home, where her kid’s feelings and ideas were accepted and valued. However, there may have been challenges in establishing clear boundaries with others or dealing with practical matters.
Family and Heritage
These people tend to form close attachments with family members and feel very strongly about them. They could be very kind-hearted and compassionate people. They support and care for each other with a deep sense of empathy.
Some of their family members could be drawn to professional connected with water including careers like professional diving, marine biology, submarine technician or oceanography.
They might feel as if their family is their foundation in life and without them, they’d be totally alone, even if that isn’t quite true. There may also be an issue with keeping strong boundaries between themselves and their family.
In their family tree, some remarkably interesting and unique individuals can probably be found. Some of them may also have an interest in, or work in a spiritual, occult or mystical field like astrology or divination.
Emotional Foundations
Those with Scorpio rising are typically more sensitive than those with Sagittarius rising owing to Scorpio being a sensitive water sign. Pisces is a water sign and possibly the most sensitive sign in the entire zodiac system. This sign finds the world a little unemotional and harsh and if they’re an empath, a bit challenging at times too. These people therefore enjoy spending plenty of time at home in their own space, away from the energy of others.
They may be idealistic in their outlook, especially when it comes to their expectations of family and friends. For example, they might desire to be treated with fairness and kindness most of the time and that sadly, people often behave in less than desirable ways.
They can give too much of themselves and find it hard to establish boundaries with others, especially those closest to them. Thankfully, their family most likely have their best interests at heart so although their boundaries may not be very strong, they may not often be taken advantage of.
Nurturing and Caregiving Tendencies
Pisces is widely considered deeply compassionate and caring. Many of these people also intuitively understand the unspoken needs and desires of others and some go out of their way to help them achieve them. They may even some imaginative ways of helping them along.
They may incorporate spiritual or mystical activities in their nurturing style because of the connection Pisces has with spirituality. They also seem inclined to encourage people to seek alternative forms of healing for their emotional issues. An old friend of mine had this placement and she introduced me to an excellent spiritual response therapy practitioner. My sessions with her really helped me to move on after a very painful breakup with an ex.
Spending time in quiet, natural surroundings, doing things they enjoy feeds their soul. Additionally, doing something like painting, drawing, sewing, sculpting, or photographing beautiful places and people, helps to soothe and entertain them.
The Past
Even if their past, or adolescence at least, was a bit chaotic, they had many fond memories with their family. They like reminiscing with those closest to them, especially as this helps to create a warm and pleasant atmosphere. They feel strongly about their past and may find it tough to move on from it, although they know that they must.
Some of these people may view their past through rose-tinted glasses. But given the wisdom and maturity associated with this sign, that may stem more from compassion and understanding that nothing is perfect and it’s good to remember the best things about people and past events.
Retirement
In contrast to those with a fire sign like Aries on the cusp of this house, who may experience a retirement packed with action, these people may have a low-key, mellow, peaceful retirement. There may be much time spent with family including any grandchildren, relaxing, and engaging in gentle pastimes such as fishing and painting. Doing some volunteer work in their spare time may appeal to them. They may also choose to follow a religion, strengthen their existing beliefs or explore a new mystical practice.
Endings and Closure
Farewells are approached with compassion and understanding. They may be supportive of the thoughts and emotions of others and have a kind and understanding stance during times of closure. They rarely feel the need to retaliate or become angry. They understand that some things in life inevitably come to an end.
Endings here could be rather imaginative and interesting, for example, they may decide to call an end to a relationship, friendship or job by recording a video or writing a poem thus making a memorable parting statement.
They can intuit the right time and way to call an end to things. This innate skill, coupled with a deep connection to their own feelings and those of others, allows them to bring about closure in a way that encourages healing for everyone involved. This peaceful approach to closures often creates a harmonious resolution, reflecting their capacity for emotional intelligence and wisdom.
