By and large, the 6th house is known as the “house of work”. Of course, the 6th governs many other areas of life too, some very different to work, like pets and problem solving, but work seems to be the main area of life associated with it. But the 6th is more about daily work rather than overall career, which is ruled by the 10th house of career and public/social image. Yes, it’s a bit confusing, I know. But suffice it to say, daily work includes our normal style of work, household chores, taking care of family etc.
With the serious, hard working and astute sign of Capricorn on the cusp of this astrological domain, these people meet their goals with unwavering, powerful zeal and determination. Sometimes, this is no matter who or what may get in their way.
These people have a lot of patience with their work despite Leo often being on the Ascendant (the rising sign). They slowly but surely climb the corporate ladder with calmness and self-assuredness. Managing details, dealing with people (even difficult characters), and ploughing through large piles of work is relatively easy for them. In fact, for some of these people it may even be pleasurable.
Depending on what else lies in their chart, they may work too hard and be too serious about their work, though. In some cases, their personality identity could revolve around their career. They could feel completely lost without their job if ever they were forced to stop working prematurely.
In some cases, work feels boring and monotonous. They might get by on a small salary which is enough to cover their bills. One of my close friends has this placement. She takes her personal and professional responsibilities very seriously. She seems to genuinely enjoy taking care of her kids, her elderly parents, her partner and her home. And although it all looks super tough from my perspective, everything that needs doing always gets done without much difficulty.
Trivial Matters and Solving Problems
Small, largely insignificant matters are dealt with well here because these people tend to have patience with such matters. While someone with a fire sign (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) in the 6th might quickly run out of patience, these natives methodically plough through any obstacles and challenges.
Daily Routine and Order
Not knowing what their tasks are each day would definitely irritate them and slow them down. They don’t enjoy wasting their time so that means they must normally have their daily routine planned out in advance. They’re particular about how they spend their time. In some cases, they might plan down to the hour of every day including the weekend!
Each day may involve some kind of Capricornian theme like taking care of older relatives, watching the news or reading business reports. They’re also interested in politics. Some of these people would have made investments fairly early on in life and part of their routine could include monitoring or taking care of their assets. The close friend I mentioned earlier used to flip properties with her husband but recently, they bought a couple of apartments which they rent out. They regularly have to tend to the needs of their tenants, some of whom are elderly and need extra help.
Pets
Capricorn isn’t a sign known for its love of animals but they can absolutely form strong bonds with their pets. They enjoy taking care of them and they’re serious about their health and overall well-being. It should be noted, though, that they need a pet that doesn’t take up too much of their time. Dogs are great as long as someone else can take them on their daily walks because they don’t like to take too much time off work.
Self Improvement and Wellbeing
Self improvement is often geared towards bettering their personal and professional image, career and salary. They feel that if they possess good social skills and an appealing physical appearance, they’re more likely to achieve more in life. They enjoy being taken seriously by others and perhaps even admired by them. Certainly, those with Leo rising enjoy receiving plenty of positive attention and praise.
They feel the need to stay well in order to effectively fulfil their obligations while still getting ahead. They can quickly start to feel bogged down and frustrated if they spend too long feeling under the weather so they avoid this by leading a healthy lifestyle that provides them with lots of physical energy and ensures mental clarity.
The areas of the body ruled by Capricorn include the hard parts of the body; the bones and teeth, so those with this placement may wish to take extra care of these parts. That being said, we all need to take good care of ourselves, no matter what. This is more the case than ever before because of soil depletion, and the drastic increase in EMFs, pollution, and mental stress in recent times.
With this placement, there’s a tendency to worry too much about their well-being including their future well-being. Those with difficult aspects to the house could find themselves thinking the worst or taking too many precautions to safeguard themselves, like incessantly washing their hands. Having a more grounded and positive outlook on their health should help them to let go and loosen up.
