Stars & Paths Astrology FAQs
Hi there! I’m glad you’re here because I get of e-mails now and again asking similar questions so I thought I’d list their answers here to help you get a quick answer.
Can Astrology Predict the Future?
I think it can be thought of like a weather forecast. It cannot predict exactly what will happen, especially as timelines shift constantly. It can provide a rough map of what is likely to occur only. How you deal with whatever happens is entirely up to you.
I Don’t Have My Exact Time of Birth. Can I Still Discover My Rising Sign?
A rough idea of your birth time can help a great deal. So, for instance, if you were born between 8am and 11am, you can study the traits associated with the different Rising signs that fall within that relatively small window. Oftentimes, by reading about each one, you’ll intuitively recognise which one feels like the correct fit for you.
If you don’t have a rough birth time, it’s sadly unlikely that you’ll be able to decipher it. You may be able to visit an energy healer who uses dowsing, or an excellent psychic or medium who may be able to provide you with the information. I know of people who’ve had success via such methods.
I Really Enjoy Reading Your Articles. How Can I Support Your Work?
Thank you so much for offering to support my work. I greatly appreciate it. You can support me on Patreon where I sell monthly horoscopes by Rising sign. Please also feel free to bookmark the site, follow me on social media, and come back to read more! I publish new articles throughout the week. Returning to the site also helps me.
Do Horoscopes Apply to Everyone?
Since we were all born on Earth with other celestial bodies around us, yes, they do indeed! The birth chart provides a very rough map to the life plan laid out by the Soul prior to incarnation. It sets out what you chose to experience on this plane of existence for your own learning, experience, and enjoyment.
How Do You Give Back?
Once a year, I donate to an animal shelter in Greece which cares for and re-homes stray, abandoned and/or wounded dogs and cats. I’m so happy and grateful that I can afford to help them out, even if it’s just a little bit. They do great work.
What is Sent to Your Newsletter Subscribers?
I currently offer interpretations of each significant Moon phase by newsletter. PLEASE NOTE: As of September 2025, I’m pausing these newsletters to focus on creating more quality, free content for this website.
What Books Do You Recommend?
I get this question all the time. Honestly, anything written by some of the top astrologers; Julia and Derek Parker, Nicholas Campion, Linda Goodman, and Liz Greene is a good read.
But, more specifically, I would recommend the following:
All of the following titles are suitable for those who are new to astrology or have an intermediate understanding of it.
Parkers’ Astrology: The Definitive Guide to Using Astrology In Every Aspect of Life, Julia Parker and Derek Parker. An in-depth compilation of many of the placements that comprise a birth chart. Possibly the most, or certainly one of the most detailed ‘manuals’ on Astrology.
The Practical Astrologer, Nicholas Campion. Another in-depth compilation of the natal placements. A longstanding favorite of those who wish to learn the subject and apply their knowledge.
Do it Yourself Life Plan Astrology, A Practical Guide to How Planetary Cycles Affect Your Whole Life, Lyn Birkbeck. Discusses how the movement of the planets affects us and how we can use them to our advantage.
The Rising Sign, Your Astrological Mask, Jeanne Avery. Offers detailed and fun accounts of solely of the 12 Rising signs.
A Spiritual Look at The 12 Signs: An Introduction to Spiritual Astrology, Joseph Polansky. An interesting spiritual interpretation of the 12 signs.
The Astrologer’s Handbook, Julia Parker. One of the first books I ever bought on the subject when I was very young. A pretty comprehensive account of the personal planets, Rising signs, and more in a fairly light-weight, smallish book. Also looks at career, money and love.
Sun Signs, Linda Goodman. A really good depiction of the 12 Sun signs only. Includes what they are like as bosses and employees, which makes for rather fun reading.
Astrology for Lovers, Liz Greene. Of all her books, I have read this one numerous times. I find it entertaining and pretty much bang on.
Mercury Retrograde: It’s Myth and Meaning, Pythia Peay. This is the most informative and interesting book I have ever read on Mercury in Retrograde.
The True History of Sun Sign Astrology, Kim Farnell. Incredibly well written and researched work detailing the history of Sun sign Astrology.
The Astrological Guide to Self Care: Hundreds of Heavenly Ways to Create for Yourself — According to the Stars, Constance Stellas. I think this would make a great gift and I found the self-care tips original and helpful. Additionally, it has a beautifully illustrated cover and would make a delightful gift to someone who can relate to the traits associated with their star sign.
Saturn: A New Look at an Old Devil, Liz Greene. This is quite an old book as it was first published in 1976, however, if you’re looking to study Saturn specifically, I think that you’ll find this very informative.
Moon Spells: How to Use the Phases of the Moon to Get What You Want, Diane Ahlquist, Lisa Flanagan et al. I downloaded this from Audible and it was a delightful listen. If you believe in deliberate manifestation, this book might help you to intentionally create the things you’d ideally like to experience — with the help of the Moon.
The Zodiac Cookbook, Rose Elliott. Fun recipes for each zodiac sign.
