Jupiter Enters Cancer on June 9th 2025 Until June 30th 2026
Personal Impact
It may shock you to learn that I’m in my early forties and I only very, very recently bought a home. I wish I had invested in one when I was younger but I just couldn’t get it together. I was ill for a long time. When I was well, I spent a bit more than I earned so I was always in the hole, so to speak. I bought too many shoes, a flashy car, and I probably went to one too many artisan restaurants and coffee shops — because that’s what I was into back then.
I’m pretty sure that if I had focused more on making it happen, it would have happened. It made me feel horribly behind for my age, like I wasn’t doing life right, especially while everyone around me had already bought a place — and got married and had a kid or three to boot! But today, I’m sitting in a beautiful, peaceful home I own — finally.
And I feel that a lot of people will be doing the exact same thing, or something similar, while Jupiter is transiting the zodiac sign Cancer. This is, of course, because Cancer is all about home and family and Jupiter, the most beneficial and expansive planet in our solar system, is all about positive growth and positive gain. Thus, my prediction — aided by my intuition — is that there will be a strong focus on setting up a new home, or improving the current home. What a home improvement means will, of course, vary from individual to individual.
For many, this will come in the form of renovation work. And perhaps this was work that had been longed for for a while. For instance, a my friend, who is a Cancerian, has been wanting to turn a quiet room in her home into a reading room for the past couple of years but can only now afford it. More people than usual will be re-decorating their homes or expanding their home in other ways — perhaps extending their home, building a pool, or adding a summerhouse.
Expanding the home by adding a new child to it (biological or adopted), adding new pets, or possibly even reconnecting with family and having them come and stay for a while or live with you full-time. For the majority of folk, however, I sense their homes will simply be made more comfortable and beautiful, for example, by redecorating a porch or re-tiling a bathroom. Moving to a larger home or moving to a more pleasant neighbourhood is another possibility.
Romantic relationships may also change a great deal during this time considering Cancer rules domesticity. Your current relationship may become bolstered by renewed romance or fun or whatever brings you closer together. Or perhaps you’ll feel compelled to end a relationship or an opportunity may arise to begin a new one. The right relationship can be a massive blessing but the wrong one is very much the opposite as it can drain you in every way conceivable. So just do whatever works for you at this time — be single and enjoy a greater degree of freedom and autonomy or find a happy, healthy, mutually fulfilling relationship to be in.
Change that is heavy and disappointing in the beginning, like the end of a relationship, or a son or daughter leaving the family home for the first time, could clear the way for fresh and exciting opportunities. For example, a new and light-hearted relationship could eventually blossom and your empty nest, if you have one, could push you out of your comfort zone to try new things and meet new people. Your child’s empty bedroom could be turned into a craft or hobby room or perhaps friends from out of state or abroad will stay with you more often and new adventures will take place with them!
Money or a significant gift, like property, jewellery, or a family heirloom, could come from a family member or close friend. This money could help you to buy a new property, start a family, or it could be invested in a new business. I sense that many people will experience being welcomed into the family business because it feels like the time is ripe for it. Or a brand new family business could be started! It may only begin between two siblings or a parent and child but it may later grow to become large enough to accommodate more family members.
So we’ve established that domestic life will very likely see an increase in physical expansion and perhaps monetary expansion but emotional expansion is also on the cards. Jupiter is, after all, transiting a highly emotional, intuitive, and soft-hearted water sign. And, of course, we all need to be nurtured at home in particular. It’s a great bonus if we’ve looked after and treated well at work, too but home is where the heart is, as the saying goes.
Take the heart out of the home, and you’re just left with a building. I think there will be a greater understanding of this concept throughout humanity during while Jupiter is visiting Cancer. We may naturally be inspired to create an emotionally warmer, more supportive, compassionate, and nurturing atmosphere at home.
This could be achieved in a great number of ways and what this looks like will, of course, vary from person to person. One way could be an increase in dialogue, kindness, and compromise between family members that don’t get on as well as they might. Another could be just recognizing and appreciating that your family won’t live forever and making the most out of your time together, despite any differences that may exist between you, will raise the amount of love and enjoyment inside the home, benefitting everyone inside it.
Of course, Cancer experiences very strong emotions and sometimes, these emotions can change rather quickly and drastically without an obvious explanation. I think this is important to note because although relationships inside the home stand to improve a great deal, the road to improvement could be an emotional, heated, and intense one.
Emotions may run high and old wounds and disagreements may naturally find themselves up for debate once again but this isn’t raking up the past for the sake of it. They come up to be worked through and healed… hopefully, once and for all. And to move on without the baggage of the past into a much lighter, brighter, more loving and supportive future.
Water signs or more specifically, people with water as a dominant element in their chart, will feel this more. Cardinal dominant charts could face some stumbling blocks when balancing emotional and physical security with financial expansion. For instance, if you go for full on home renovation, try not to go overboard by buying things that are well out of your budget — including raw/building materials. Progress can absolutely still be made in this area — just closely monitor your spending.
Societal Impact
Rebuilding could be a very strong theme during this period; the literal rebuilding of homes in areas around the world that have been war zones, as well as emotional rebuilding. Of course, the two go hand in hand to a great extent because once a home that was demolished is rebuilt, the family or person who once lived in it can go about making it feel like a comfortable, secure home again (hopefully).
Local communities may somehow become more prominent in our lives in positive ways. People may realize the value of community over this period. Having people living in close proximity around you can be comforting. It’s pleasant to have good relations with neighbours and you typically enjoy a greater sense of security as a result. Knowing that others are looking out for you and vice versa is a wonderful feeling. I see this as being especially relevant for those who will rebuild their homes, and lives, in areas affected by conflict.
Although we’ve changed the way in which we view mental health and emotionality in the West I think there’s still a way to go. Focusing more on mental health and offering support to the people who need it should occur during this transit, especially since the lunar nodes axis shift to Pisces—Virgo. Having empathy for others is always a good thing and our species has clearly seen a huge increase in this from just a century ago when there was much more exploitation and discrimination.
I think empathy is set to grow a great deal further. Remember, however, that we all need to shift our individual vibrations to be more in alignment with a better present and a better future. Disengaging from any behavior that you perceive as negative can help you to keep your vibration high and in alignment with positive things, people, and outcomes. Not only does this benefit us as individuals but it also raises the collective vibration.
