The Age of Aquarius 2024-2044: Two Decades of Drastic Societal Change
…And an explosion in spiritual awareness as well as enormous and rapid tech growth.
Pluto hasn’t been in Aquarius for five minutes in the grand scheme of things and yet we’ve already had a good taste of the great changes that lie ahead for our species. We’ve already got AI (although it’s not sentient—yet), we’re experiencing advancements in quantum computing and gene editing and now we’re witnessing the beginning of ET disclosure, and lots more besides.
To be honest, recent technological developments alone have made my head spin but I think that big changes always take some getting used to — especially for people like me who grew up thinking that color Gameboys were some form of magic! I recently read about Google’s Quantum chip which can explore countless possible solutions all at once by using the odd laws of quantum physics, solving certain complex problems much faster than a normal computer. It’s astonishing.
The zodiac sign Aquarius is, of course, the sign of societal change, technology, friendships, social networks, sudden change and unpredictability. And I think we’re seeing the influence of Aquarius in Pluto in our daily lives now. For instance, it’s evident, at least in the West, that people today are a lot more tolerant towards different lifestyles than they ever were before. We’re becoming increasingly connected via the Internet and apps, and our tech is rapidly advancing in all directions. Although, worryingly, we can’t be certain what will come of all this advancement, especially with all the concern surrounding advanced AI, quantum computing and ETs.
While plenty of people might find the New Age an unsteady and vastly different time to the one they were comfortable in just a decade ago, there are plenty of increases in spiritual awakenings too. This is also very much what the age of Aquarius is about. It’s vitally important that while our tech grows so rapidly, that our hearts grow with it. We don’t let our humanity begin to come second to technology and end up living in a world devoid of emotion and heartfelt connection (that’s were the Grays went wrong in another timeline).
As we draw closer to official disclosure and eventually, open contact with our ET cousins, we’re seeing more and more UFOs (I refuse to call them UAPs or whatever the latest abbreviation is as I was raised in the 90s and UFOs they shall remain). They seem to be saying hello and getting us used to the fact that they are, in fact, around. There’s little doubt, in my mind at least, that with their eventual introduction will come vast degrees of change on the beautiful, bustling rock we call home. Their introduction alone will cause a stir and make people re-think their lives, behaviour, and place in the cosmos.
But, the technology and advanced knowledge, including spiritual knowledge, that they are likely to give to us will change our lives beyond anything we could possibly imagine at this point in time. While this all might sound worryingly woo-woo to some, and I understand that, it’s a fact that US officials, and other officials across Earth, are starting to talk about ETs openly. So, I think we’re being prepped for their eventual arrival. I also intuitively feel that it won’t be too long before they are formally introduced to us all.
Aquarius is, of course, a fixed sign and as such, a headstrong and morally upright sign. It likes people and things to function with integrity. It also likes to share, and for things to be fair. It strongly pushes against immorality. It strives for change, and in this New Age, this all culminates in almost one thing; a massive increase in societal cooperation.
Long gone are the days where it’s just about the Self. The Aquarian age is about the collective. It’s about us all living more harmoniously and congruently as a species. It’s going to be more about what’s best for us as a species and the one and only planet on which we reside. The old way of “I’m alright, Jack” is out of the door and I think this is becoming increasingly evident in the world around us. For example, more and more businesses — as you’ve probably noticed — are giving back in various ways, for example, by donating a certain percentage of their annual profits to charity. They also seem more environmentally conscious than ever before as well as being more service to others oriented rather than being exclusively about profit maximization. Even just ten years ago, this wasn’t quite the case… Hustle culture was big and people were still thinking mostly about themselves and their own bank balances.
Individuals are thinking more about others and the planet too. Nowadays, it’s more about sharing, slow living, and taking care of each other, the planet and the animals. More people are becoming aware of global warming and so they’re recycling more, and being more conservative with their use of resources like gas and water. Electric cars are becoming more popular and it’s only a matter of time before most people start opting for them over gas guzzlers. So, in my opinion, there has already been a noticeable shift in our thought patterns and behavior on the whole.
Of course, this New Age of ours won’t be all rainbows and sunshine. People are having to adjust to lots of very different things — and at lightening pace. Some people are adjusting to the new world relatively easily while others are finding themselves a bit hesitant or even a bit lost. To be completely honest, as forward-thinking as I like to consider myself, I’m a bit worried about AI being used for nefarious activities or just rendering creative people like myself completely obsolete!
Recently, with Roe v Wade being overturned, and big tariffs being applied to various countries, we’ve seen major political changes, and it’s extremely likely that this age may present more major political changes and challenges. But this is what we all signed up for before we came here. We wanted to experience polarity, and we wanted to be here for the great change that is about to occur on this master class of a planet. We wanted to be here to witness the rise in consciousness, to help facilitate it, and to ensure a smooth transition into the 4th dimension, which may very well mean heaven on Earth.
More and more people are ‘sticking it to the man’ by choosing self employment over a dull nine to five. After all, who in their right minds wants wake up at some ungodly hour to travel on a packed train full of sweaty armpits before reaching a windowless office? For most, a boring job was historically obtained out of necessity; to pay a mortgage, to feed children, to ensure a retirement fund, or to avoid ending up toothless and living on beans, and so on. You catch my drift. The internet and social media really helped to create a whole mass of entrepreneurs, or at least increase household incomes via online projects and social media channels. It has liberated many a cat parent, stay at home mom, pottery maker, and train spotter by providing decent incomes. More than ever before, we can make money from the things we’re passionate about thanks to things like online sales, ad revenue, affiliate commissions, and however else we choose to monetize our content or flog our stuff. It’s great!
Women in particular have benefitted from this. Just a few decades ago, and certainly a century ago, we couldn’t even graduate from College or University or have a bank account. The jobs that were available to us back then were pretty limited and positions were scarce for them because of the fierce competition and the fact that a lot of employers still preferred to hire men. And while the wage gap still exists today, we’re still doing and being more than ever before.
During this age, we can all spread our wings and live our dreams and this is set to explode over the next two decades with an increase in freedom, independence, autonomy, and technology that will help us, heal us, and keep us entertained. I think the song It’s the Age of Aquarius by the 1960s band 5th Dimension shows how long people have been anticipating this crucial cosmic shift. It was frequently talked about –and, I think, longed for — during my parent’s hey day in the swinging 60s and 70s. Think about how incredibly lucky we are to finally witness it unfolding in person. Wonderful.
