Taurus is ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty, love, and harmony so naturally, these people are talented creatives. Venusian topics that stimulate them include art, design, music, singing and dance. Anything they personally consider to be creative and beautiful is something they wish to explore. I have a close friend with this placement who designs and makes, by hand, beautiful soy wax candles with essential oil fragrances. I’ve always thought that her lovely venture perfectly depicts the gentle energy of Taurus.

Self-Expression

These individuals feel an innate urge to express themselves via a creative medium of some kind. While they may not work in a field like art or design, they may have a creative hobby. A longtime friend of mine with this placement has always kept a diary and to this day, she still finds it incredibly cathartic to frequently jot down her thoughts, feelings, and experiences. It’s packed full of pretty pressed flowers, scraps of colorful paper, photos, and her quaint little doodles.

Similarly to Virgo, these people can be perfectionistic about their work, wishing to create whatever they set their sights on to the highest standard they can achieve. And also like Virgo, they often take criticism of their work to heart.

Jumping into relationships sounds uncomfortable and unwise to these natives. They’re cautious when sniffing out a prospective partner. They take their time to evaluate if someone will make a good partner but at the same time, they’re fair and open-minded and want to give people every chance to prove themselves compatible. Once committed, they desire for their relationship to remain intact for the rest of their lives.

The sort of people they’re drawn to are pragmatic and realistic with a focus on the material aspects of life, as they want to live comfortably. Someone who is struggling financially, always stressed out, and never seems to have much direction in life would probably, permanently frighten them off. Working hard comes naturally to Taurus. These individuals feel very strongly about providing well for their offspring. They know that it’s their responsibility to ensure they’re raised well and with everything they need. Their children often have an above average education and will be strongly encouraged to achieve. The importance of money is ingrained in them from a very young age through activities like saving for new toys and games.

Their children may become patient, hard-working, and career driven adults. They could be drawn to professions like banking and finance, real estate, and law although any career that is very likely to provide them with lasting material stability appeals to them. If they feel like they can really make it in a creative career like music, they will go for it — but only under the right circumstances and with the right back up plan in place.

Recreation and Entertainment 

De-stressing is at the top of their self-care list. They’re generally very good at taking time off when they need it and in order to spend quality time with their loved ones. Their idea of relaxing could be a little bit different, though— if they’re avid artists or musicians they might wind down by creating something. And if they can put something together with their loved ones, all the better!

Simply lying around also sounds good to them, but it better be in a natural setting like a forest or a beach. These are the people who are keen on esoteric activities like forest bathing, meditation, yoga, tai-chi, and other chilled or slow activities.

Going away for a long weekend somewhere romantic with their partner feels especially exciting and rewarding for them. They like to make sure that everything flows smoothly and that every detail of their getaway is taken care of to avoid any unpleasant surprises. Venturing Into the Unknown

All of their risk taking is viewed through the lens of stability and security. Before jumping into any unknown territory, they ask themselves — what could provide me with, or further increase, my sense of stability and security? And they tend to answer themselves realistically.
