Virgo in 7th House

The 7th house is seen as one of the most important houses in astrology. It’s called the Descendant and is known as the house of marriage. It’s linked to the seventh sign of Libra, which focuses on marriage and partnerships. This house— along with the Sun, Moon, Venus, and Mars—shows you what type person you find most attractive and are most likely to want to formally commit to.

Qualities Sought in a Partner

Virgo is considered the most particular (read fussiest) sign in the zodiac. So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that these natives have a long list of boxes to tick when it comes to finding a partner. They don’t mind others around them acting in unbecoming ways but their partner must meet their high standards. In some cases, they need to be a true lady or gentleman. 

Personally, whenever I think of these natives, I picture them with a 1950s type of husband or wife; well dressed, hair coiffed, clean smelling, demure, modest, and graceful with good social etiquette. Unfortunately for those with this placement, and Virgos generally, such people are fairly rare these days. But that doesn’t mean they don’t exist and it certainly won’t stop these people from looking for them.

These natives are especially concerned with the physical cleanliness of their partner. If they’re dating someone who doesn’t appear to have good personal hygiene, their relationship is unlikely to turn into something serious. Every bit of them— from their hair to their fingernails— is throughly scrutinised. Straight men and gay or bi women may also look at how much makeup a woman is wearing. And while someone with a fire or air sign in the 7th may be drawn to glamorous, highly made up people, these natives tend to be put off by too much makeup, especially if it looks unclean.

Once their date has passed the cleanliness check, these natives need to make sure they are dealing with someone who isn’t afraid of hard work. Their partner needs to be mature and serious about life. Ideally, they would like to achieve great things with their partner — similarly to those with Taurus or Capricorn in the 7th. If they are young and haven’t yet carved a career, they need to show some potential. This includes showing that they are competent, intelligent, articulate, practical, and good at problem solving. 

These people are initially drawn to those who are modest in their appearance and character. We all need to be mentally stimulated by our partner so people who are rather dull or too conservative won’t hold their interest.

Both partners will share a love for nature and generally peaceful and quiet locations. Marriage

From the viewpoint of others, it may appear as if these people actively dodge marriage. After all, they can be so critical of the people they date, it may feel as if no one can live up their high standards. But while their standards are high, they certainly do want marriage, and once they find someone they really click with, they overlook a great deal of things they don’t particularly like. Virgo is after all, a practical sign. They know that all relationships require some degree of compromise. They know fine well that no one is perfect. Sometimes, you have to settle for whatever feels right and take the rough with the smooth so to speak.

They are most attracted to those who come across as Virgos. So, their spouse may have a significant amount of Virgo energy in their birth chart or may even have a Virgo Sun sign. While they may be a bit judgemental and critical of themselves and others, they are typically intelligent, educated, capable, and brilliant communicators. They are also pragmatic and grounded and can help their sometimes dreamy and idealistic Pisces rising partner keep their own two feet firmly on the ground.

One on One Interactions

Personal interactions with others often feel a bit daunting to them. Getting to know new people can have the effect of worrying them. They worry about their physical appearance and can be anxious to say the right things in order to make a good impression. 

Those with sensitive water sign Pisces in the first house may struggle with shyness. Virgo is a practical sign though many will focus on the getting the interaction done and duck out if they aren’t feeling the good vibes flowing. This is particularly true when it comes to dating.

Open Enemies 

These people may have few open enemies. If they feel the need to do battle with someone or a group of people, they may not enjoy meeting them in person. That would probably feel a bit too intimidating. Instead, their preferred mode of communication would be writing. By writing, they can take their time to communicate all of their thoughts. It’s also a less heated and more agreeable way to work things out with others.

Because Pisces is normally rising when Virgo is in the 7th, they may write in an emotional manner. This is at odds with Virgo, which is more factual, logical, and pragmatic. Consequently, there may be a bit of inner conflict when communicating with their enemies. They may not know whether to communicate in an emotional or logical manner.

Legal Contracts

Any contracts they have to sign will be thoroughly examined beforehand. The details are important to them—they won’t skim read a contract, especially if it’s really important. They won’t sign anything without knowing exactly what the contract entails. Above all else, they may be frightened to do so because they know that things can go dreadfully wrong if they agree to something that isn’t in their best interests. 

Conflicts 

These people prefer to avoid in person conflict wherever possible. Pisces rising is gentle, sensitive, and cautious. Virgo, being a feminine sign, is also rather sensitive and cautious. This mix of energies means that arguing face to face is not their forte as it stresses them out and throws them off balance before they can even get their points across. 

If they are forced to stand their ground, they prefer to do so in writing. In this way, they can eloquently convey their thoughts in a calm, collect manner. Communicating in this way helps them to remain centred and reduces the overwhelm. In some cases, this method of communication can also help them to feel physically safer, especially if they are affected by anxiety.
