New Moon in Aries on March 29th 2025

Energy summary: Major new beginnings for us all. Whatever the past was, it was. Push ahead for a prompt fresh start full of possibilities.

Out with the old, in with the new. Whatever you’ve done up until this point, is whatever you’ve done. Life is ultimately meaningless because it is we who infuse it with meaning. So take the canvass that is life and paint something new on it. Look upon this time as a blank canvass. Take it, gather up your favorite paints, pastels, and pencils, and paint something completely new on it. Perhaps even something audacious like starting a new business. Why not? 

We all need and want clarity. And while clarity often comes through directness, which may sometimes be perceived as abruptness, there is no doubt that a direct approach or conversation, helps to get things promptly done and dusted. People know where they stand when others are direct with them. This is, in part, what the New Moon in Aries gifts us. It prompts us to get out of any ruts we’re in, and points us in the direction to more productive days, and better things.

You may feel a rush of energy during this lunar phase; this is most commonly what New and Full Moons in Aries are known for. But be careful not to exhaust yourself as, in all likelihood, the increase in energy is physical, rather than mental. Going for a long walk, or run may be a good option to let it out. Trying a new form of exercise may also come naturally now. Once you’re done and feel sufficiently relaxed, just breathe, relax, and a while later, focus on your plans for the future—both short-term and long-term. 

If you enjoy setting intentions, or creating plans for the future, the energy for this is especially conducive for this at this time. However, be sure to create clear and realistic plans, as they will work better with the fast-paced, steely, ambitious, yet simplistic and straight-forward and energy of Aries. Daydreams and ideas that remain purely in our minds, swirly around sometimes for years on end, can feel exciting to go over, but if we can make any part of them real, how exciting would that be?

Aries is incredibly passionate. It encourages us to go for our dreams without fear or too much unnecessary forethought, but this also encompasses fearlessly speaking from the heart. If there’s something you need to say to someone, whoever they are, say it. Get it off your chest. Living under the weight of “what ifs” isn’t any good for the Soul. As long as it’s fair and reasonable, say what you need. Then you’ll know where you stand, and so will they. And perhaps something hugely positive will come from it. If not, you can both move on and make progress elsewhere.

I think that with this increase in physical energy, grounding and chakra balancing is especially important. You can ground yourself mentally, or with the use of natural items, including crystals, if you can’t get out or you don’t have a garden/backyard. The chakra to focus on is the crown, as ruled by Aries. Make sure it isn’t too “full” with thoughts or wishes for the future. If it is, get them all down on paper so that they’re out of you, and you can let them go and relax. An out of balance crown chakra at this point may mean too many thoughts, which can prevent restful sleep, so I think this is important to address.

I admit that this article was a little hurried, which is a bit Arien —and no wonder, as that’s the solar and lunar influence we’re under right now. It’s not my best intuitive work, but I’m incredibly busy with my plan to launch a horoscope section for Star & Gazer.
