Triple Capricorn Personality: Master of Discipline, Drive and Legacy

Unsurprisingly, those with their Sun, Moon and Ascendant in Capricorn have a deeply Capricornian nature. Many epitomise the sign. But please bear in mind that many other factors, including other planetary placements, and the aspects between them, will also influence their personality.

Their responsibilities, above all, are their priority. Oftentimes, they place their responsibilities and obligations well above their own needs and wants. Triple Capricorns are sensible, reliable, diligent and focused people. They admire the same qualities in others and prefer to associate with, and oftentimes, couple up with, like-minded folk.

Capricorn is naturally a rather solemn sign so many of these people have a serious demeanour, but their wit is deliciously dry, and their jokes forever apt and clever. Unwinding doesn’t come especially easily as they tend to take life a bit too seriously but this has its benefits. For instance, helping them to get ahead in life.

Career and Ambition

The ambition of the earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) is well-known. The building of wealth, legacy, and public reputation are all pretty much at the top of their life goals list. They need these things in order for them to feel content and secure. While not all of these people have every one of their ducks in a row, many of them do — and they make it their life’s mission to do well, feel admired and respected by others, and leave a legacy for their loved ones to enjoy.

Those who don’t have it all together in life may have powerful lessons to learn around the themes of career and public reputation. It may be the case that although they truly want to achieve and appear successful, they may have opted to learn that these things are not who we truly are. Ultimately, it isn’t material wealth that matters to the Soul. That’s transient. How we conduct ourselves, what we do for others, and how we work with the resources we have is often more valuable.

Socialising and Friendships

When socialising, these people can appear a bit reserved, at least to begin with. Expressing themselves honestly can feel a bit daunting, and they are often preoccupied with how they come across to others. Sharing their true feelings can be even more difficult for them because they worry about being made fun or, judged or gossiped about.

In some cases, so powerful is their desire to become successful that they may form friendships with others who are successful to help elevate their own public profile. I know some Capricorns who wouldn’t wish to spend any meaningful length of time carving out a friendship or relationship with someone who isn’t on their way to becoming successful or already there.

Of course, many Capricorn types possess tremendous emotional and mental depth. In fact, the original image of this sign is the goat fish. The fish part indicating a connection to the water element, which, i astrology is associated with emotional sensitivity, emotional depth, imagination, and intuition. As such many seek to form meaningful connections with others like them. It just helps in some cases if their company is also smart and successful!

Romance and Relationships

One of the many things that initially draws people to them is their professional demeanour. They appear to have their lives together and talk quite openly about their goals. People who share their ambitious outlook make good partners as they can climb the ladder to success together, as a strong team.

They are drawn to those who are as ambitious, pragmatic, and disciplined as them. After all, one of the main reasons they desire to partner up is to create a bountiful legacy, if not an empire! So, they tend to do well with people they can build a secure and lasting foundation with.

These people are steadfast in their connections with others but especially in marriage. They put a great deal of work into making their relationships sturdy and long lasting. Committing to a partner, and/or having a family, is something that not only feels enjoyable but provides them with a deep sense of purpose. Some can be very frisky, though, so an active intimate life is a must, and if their needs fail to be met by their partner, they may stray.

Oftentimes, similarly to Virgo, they live to serve the people they love. They want to make sure that they have absolutely everything they need and more. If they feel they aren’t fulfilling their role as a provider or nurturer well, they can be very hard on themselves.

Their Strengths

Strong sense of humour

Their have a dry, sombre sense of humour. They often come up with dark, witty, and hilariously impromptu jokes which help attract the ‘right’ people to them; those who are on the same wavelength, basically. Dark comedy appeals to them.

Focused and patient

Taurus is said to be the most patient sign but Capricorn certainly also falls into this category as well. With their patience they can work in fields and on projects which require a lot of time and focus. Because of this, they tend to win the proverbial race to the top of the career ladder while others burn out or lose interest along the way.

Dependable

Come hell or high water, these people are there when you need them. Being famous for their grounded, practical outlook on life, they strive to keep their job, relationships, friendships etc in tact. They genuinely want to be reliable and help the people they care about. Reliability is becoming less and less common in our world, and they enjoy setting a good example of it.

Their Weaknesses

Workaholism

Some of these people are just absolute workhorses. They were built to forge a career and a positive reputation. They were born feeling as if they had to achieve in order to take care of their loved ones and live a good life in this material world. The downside to this is that they can become exhausted under the weight of the pressure they apply to themselves. We all need time off to properly recover and recharge and avoid burnout.

It’s likely that in this incarnation, learning to take it easy could be one of their lessons. As they age, this could become more apparent to them, or others may point it out to them, and encourage them to unwind more often.

My grandfather had a Capricorn Sun sign. Being born in the early 1900s, I’ve no idea what the rest of his chart looked like. Birth times weren’t normally recorded back then but if I had to hazard a guess, I would say the Moon and/or Mercury were also in Capricorn. He owned and operated a local bakery with my uncle and he worked unbelievably hard serving his customers and building the business.

He was the most amazing provider for his family. But he worked so hard that he never properly paused to enjoy the fruits of his labour. Retirement was also something he refused to consider out of loyalty to his customers and his family alike. He died fairly young which could have been down to his poor work-life balance. Though, to be fair, he absolutely loved running the bakery and chatting with his regulars!

Rigidity

Their opinions can be fairly immovable. By no means are they set in stone, although sometimes, it might seem like they are. They just need plenty of gentle persuasion, or proof, in order to see things differently.

Cynicism

There is a tenancy to look at the negatives rather than the positives. And without sounding patronising, life is, of course, a mix of both. Focusing on the more unpleasant aspects of life can just get them down and delay them achieving their goals. I think that if they remain focused on the good things, and people, in their lives, that can help lift their vibration, and keep it elevated.

My Personal View of This Zodiac Sign

I love the sign of Capricorn. As I mentioned earlier, my beloved late grandfather was a Capricorn, and it was unthinkable to him to shirk his responsibilities. These people are often nothing short of utterly devoted to taking care of those they love — and helping humanity via their work. For example, he frequently donated to his local church.

Their outlook is mature, and they’re often wise and understanding beyond their years. Both of their feet are firmly planted in the real world. They must experience something first hard in order to believe it. And honestly, after working for years with people who believe in some very far-out things, I find their healthy scepticism delightfully refreshing!
