Part of Fortune in the Houses in Synastry: Pathways of Shared Joy

I’ve always been fascinated by the Part of Fortune (or just Fortune). The Arabic parts are all very interesting and further flavour any given birth chart but the Part of Fortune, or Pars Fortuna in Latin, is especially interesting for two reasons. The first is that it guides us towards what truly makes our hearts light up with joy and enthusiasm. The second is that it additionally indicates how we may attract a good deal of material wealth.

And as we all know, material wealth is important on this planet, no matter how one sees it. We all require money to pay our various numerous bills, and to live well while we’re on this fine, bustling planet!

When this joyous mathematical point is located in one of your partner’s houses (or the other way around), much can be revealed about how the partners make each other feel happy, stable, and materially secure.

It should be noted that how both are aspected in the two individual charts matters; a poorly aspected Fortune or house may affect how the two energies play out together in synastry.

If you would like to know more about the twelve houses, please take a look at my article on the houses. The most important houses, especially when it comes to romance, partnership, and marriage, are the 1st of Self, the 4th of home and family, the 5th house of joy and romance, and the 7th of relationships and marriage. To some extent, as work forms a large part of our lives, the 10th of career and public image is also particularly important.

Part of Fortune in 1st House Synastry: Mutual Admiration

This aspect is essentially the same as Part of Fortune in the Ascendant in synastry.

To begin with, the 1st is a crucial part of the birth chart. It’s also referred to as the Ascendant. It’s all about oneself, including mannerisms, style, and physical appearance. It’s who we are in public and when people first meet us. It influences how we think, act, and move. It’s also about how we perceive the world around us. When combined with Fortune energy, both feel deeply drawn to, and fascinated by each other. They truly value each other and oftentimes, their respective personal images become bolstered, both literally and figuratively, and they become more noticeable people in their union.

Benefits

Mutual admiration: Both see each other as a prize catch. They find one another utterly enchanting inside and out, especially in the beginning. Each person thinks they have found someone with whom they can shine in life and build a fun and joyous yet solid union.

Image boost: The Fortune partner helps to boost the image of their house partner. They see their other half as someone who deserves the world and all good things. As such, they compliment them, are proud of them, and now and again, enjoy showing them off. They support them and normally talk about them incredibly well to whoever will listen.

Complementary energy: Both bring out the very best in each other. They inspire each other and influence each other to radiate their energy outwardly in day to day life. Someone looking at their relationship from the outside, such as a friend or colleague, may observe that they become more radiant and energized.

Easier and freer self expression: Not only do both parties feel they can easily and freely express their most personal thoughts and viewpoints with each other but they also feel encouraged and supported by one another to do so with others. If they were a little shy or hesitant to do this before, they almost certainly won’t be as a couple!

Potential Challenges

Impact on personal identity: At times, the house partner’s sense of personal identity and/or their self esteem may be knocked by their lover in some way. This may not be remotely intentional; it may be because their partner may be too focused on their work or perhaps they become a bit too concerned with their lover’s image, especially if they are particularly physically beautiful. In other cases, they may be too heavily invested in how their house lover makes them look in public as well as how they make them feel because of their beauty.

Jealously or possessiveness: Seeing one another as exceptionally desirable can trigger insecurity and jealously at times. The house lover notices how brightly their Fortune partner shines in public and can feel possessive over their energy when they’re out and about.

Deeper emotional needs sidelined: If both parties become blinkered by their appearance, charm, and charisma, their more significant emotional needs could fall by the wayside. This can easily be prevented if they bear in mind to pay enough attention to how they feel and discuss their emotions and opinions often. As they are naturally non judgmental towards one another, this should be relatively easy.

My Personal Thoughts

Each partner wants the other to have a better life as a team, and this is perfectly possible. An aunt and uncle of mine had this synastric connection and through thick and thin, they were exceedingly supportive of one another. In fact, they were right up until my aunt’s death. They had their foibles as we all do but they stuck together and made a strong, dedicated, and physically appealing team. The Fortune partner, my uncle, also made his family very wealthy through his various successful entrepreneurial endeavors over the years.

Part of Fortune in 2nd House Synastry: An Abundance of Material Comfort

The 2nd governs possessions including money. It also presides over skills, talents, and personal ethics and values. When blended with Part of Fortune energy, which is about joy and material success too, a strong energy of material wealth is created. These are similar energies and both partners naturally meld well and are on the same page about the things they want to own and experience in life. They aren’t afraid to pursue their material goals, and find that united, they can do this with greater ease and better results.

Benefits

Material and emotional comfort and security: Both strongly desire to live abundantly in order to enjoy material comfort and lifelong security. Many couples with this synastric connection are a power couple. As such, they can make their dreams come true, and find it easier to do so as a unit thanks to the mutual support they give to one another. Neither party judges the other for wanting to increase their wealth and buy beautiful things that enhance their lives.

Earthly pleasures enjoyed: They throughly and unashamedly enjoy all of life’s earthly pleasures; fine food and drink, beautiful clothing, vacations, comfortable vehicles, spacious and beautifully decorated surroundings, and s on. As I mentioned earlier, neither party disapproves of the other’s desire to live very comfortably. On the contrary, it’s one of the biggest shared goals. They encourage each other to achieve as they know it will benefit both their lives. The Fortune person may be the one to start the ball rolling if neither of them are successful when they first get together.

Combined finances: Most couple combine their resources once they marry or establish a longterm union, but this couple takes the mixing of wealth even more seriously. They abide by the phrase “what’s mine is yours, and what’s yours is mine” wholeheartedly — and from surprisingly early on in their relationship.

Practical and emotional support: They are friends, lovers, and allies. Although I’ve discussed how they support each other in their pursuit of material success, I should also mention that they support each other on a day to day basis and emotionally, too. Very much so. The house person may be somewhat more focused on supporting their lover materially, but at the end of the day, both are there for each other whenever necessary. This makes their union overall solid, grounded, and reliable. Perhaps it even makes it somewhat predictable, which the house person especially enjoys.

Potential Challenges

Material attachment: In some instances, both partners may become too attached to material goods and earthly things and matters. This is especially true of the house person. In such as case, the Fortune individual can remind them that life is also very much about feeling inner joy and peace, regardless of what is happening on the outside. The house lover should be open to being reminded of this simple concept as they are, at the end of the day, grounded in reality.

Dependancy issues: The house person may find themselves relying too much on their Fortune lover for material stability. The Fortune person may do well to remind their other half, when necessary, that they are perfectly capable of achieving whatever they wish by themselves but they will be there to offer their support, love, and encouragement regardless.

Possessive energy: The house person may at times feel territorial or overly protective of their special, happy, stable bond, especially if they haven’t before experienced anything like it. Good, open communication can prevent them from feeling worried about the longevity of their union.

My Personal Thoughts

This is a quietly powerful connection. Both parties are strong willed, especially the house individual. Because both people desire commitment and want the same sort of lifestyle and to live abundantly, they can build a really lovely, mutual fulfilling and financially secure life together. I intuitively sense that this sort of relationship can easily last the distance and I see them enjoying the sort of material comfort they desire.

Part of Fortune in 3rd House Synastry: Joyful and Easy Communication

The 3rd rules our intellect, how we communicate, our thoughts, reasoning, and thought processes. It also rules tech, short trips, siblings, neighbors, manual skills, and transpiration. When blended with Fortune energy, a very vivacious, mentally stimulating and interesting combination forms. The connection feels really alive, cerebral, fun, and there is so much that both partners can learn from one another. It’s an aspect that celebrates and thrives on intellect and profound moments of understanding that can build a deep and lasting connection.

Benefits

Ease of communication: Both find that their communication is particularly easy and their words just flow when they’re together. Debates are especially lively and interesting. The house person may be a wordsmith and the Fortune person admires and respects this gift. They like how clever and knowledgable their lover is, and enjoy observing them eloquence, especially when they are speaking to others. Neither party judges or preaches to the other.

Shared enthusiasm for life: They love life and want to explore the world. One of their favorite things to do is to take frequent trips together, especially short ones that allow them to experience something new. Even if they just pop into a new semi local cafe, or go to an event nearby like a gig, dance, or craft fair, it’s all really good fun for them.

Curiosity is welcomed: The house person really loves learning all sorts of new things. They enjoy discovering more about the things that interest them. And while they might jump from one interest to another, their partner find this charming. The Fortune lover encourages their partner’s curious nature and, even providing learning opportunities by buying them books, magazine subs, TV shows, movies, various courses, etc.

Similar mindset: They tend to find themselves on the same page about most things. Ideas tend to flow well between these two and they often use each other as a sounding board for their various different ideas; the house individual ha a great number of these! In addition to this, there’s a sense of balancing one another out, especially when things go a bit pear shaped. Logic and reason are often naturally used by both partners but especially the house partner, to solve all sorts of matters.

Top notch networking and social growth: Since they both like to socialize, a wide social circle tends to form around them. Thesis ideal for them because they enjoy the mental stimulation that comes with having lots of people around. The Fortune partner enjoys showing off their lively, smart, articulate partner and the house partner enjoys showing off their fun, bright and successful lover.

Potential Challenges

Overthinking things: The house partner may think too much, be too curious, and/or overanalyze, which their significant other can sometimes find challenging to handle. If the house person catches themselves before they fall into a mental loop, replaying conversations, interactions etc with others, they should be able to prevent this pattern.

Personal value clashes: Being mentally compatible doesn’t, of course, always mean complete compatibility. Beliefs, values, norms, ideals, and priorities may be different. Or very different in some cases. Of course, good communication, tolerance, and compassion can go a long way toward finding common ground.

Gossiping as a pastime: When the house lover is a bit bored, they may be prone to gossiping about people. While the Fortune person may enjoy talking about others in the moment, they may not be hugely keen on gossiping generally and may attempt to tone it down, which the house person may very well be open to doing.

Restlessness: Both partners may desire too much mental stimulation. They may be too active — physically, too. This just needs to be kept in check, which should be fairly easy to do if their respective schedules are planned out to fit duties, chores, work, and downtime activities in a balanced way.

My Personal Thoughts

I think it’s unlikely these two will experience a dull moment while they’re together! I’ve seen a lot of people with 3rd house energy really light up connections and keep things really mentally engaging. Fortune partners can ignore a sense of wonder in their partner and actively encourage their curious nature by helping to feed them knowledge and meaningful social interaction. As long as they also remember to plenty of pay attention to their emotional and physical connection too, they should enjoy a healthy and long lasting bond.

Part of Fortune in 4th House Synastry: True Comfort and Belonging

This aspect is essentially the same as Part of Fortune in the IC (Imum Coeli) in synastry.

Home is where the heart is, and the 4th encompasses all that is related to home and family. It depicts the sort of domestic life one has throughout life. It’s also about property, mother energy, heritage, retirement, emotions, and the past. Fortune energy in the mix can help create a deeply cozy, secure, and romantic domestic life. Both are on the same page about having a steady, stable and beautiful home life. They feel at ease with one another and thoroughly enjoy building a shared home and strong family bond.

Benefits

A deep feeling of belonging: Thanks to their union, their home feels like a truly comfortable place to be — both physically and emotionally. There’s a sense of support, safety, and emotional warmth. Frequent heated arguments are very unlikely to occur in this union. If disagreements do happen, they tend to be mild and take place outside of their home, for instance, in the workplace.

Healing and inner growth: Since both are so supportive towards one another, and early on in their connection already feel like family, they can share their innermost thoughts and feelings. This sharing also includes discussing past traumas and working through them as a couple. The Fortune lover in particular encourages their partner to seek healing with the help of others, if needed.

Business support: If the house partner needs some extra encouragement to start or continue an enterprise, the Fortune partner will happily provide it. They want to see their partner succeed. If the Fortune person needs some help with their work, or personal encouragement, the house partner will also help bolster their confidence in the sort of way a parent might do. There is a feeling of mutual nurturing.

Potential Challenges

Workaholism: The house or Fortune partner (or both) may spend too much time at work or building a business. If this happens, the emotional connection they share may diminish. The house partner in particular may become too focused on building wealth rather than nurturing their relationship.

Codependency from early on: Because they both feel so secure with one another, neither one may be able to imagine what it would be like to be without the other. They may begin to rely too heavily on each other. This may be especially true of the house partner who may view their signifiant other as a lover but also like a mother/father figure who is always there to support them and love them unconditionally. Of course, establishing healthy boundaries early on in the connection can avoid this altogether. And that’s just good practice generally for any new relationship.

Overly strong links to home or family: One or both partners might become a bit too attached to their family’s opinions, norms, expectations and values. Even their routines may be too strongly engrained despite perhaps not being quite the best sort for family life.

My Personal Thoughts

The chemistry and compatibility becomes apparent very early on. They feel as if they have “come home” when they meet their partner. This relationship can be a deeply nurturing one. That said, healthy boundaries are important in all relationships but especially so in this one. I think that it’s vital a good balance is struck early on between intimacy, independence, and healthy boundaries.

Part of Fortune in 5th House Synastry: Play and Passion

When the house of play (and self-expression and children) mingles with the Part of Fortune, a lighthearted, joyful, expressive, creative energy emerges. Speaks fly and romantic gestures are common here. These two flirt with each other and intimacy normally comes effortlessly. Each partner feel strongly supported by the other. This is, overall a fun and playful connection.

Benefits

Strongly positive union: Laughter, joy, playfulness, and creativity are abound in this union. Both partners like to have fun, play, laugh and express themselves. The house partner may be especially playful, funny, and creative. They may even enjoy creating things for their partner; that may be their love language. For example, they might like baking lovely sweet treats or their favorite dishes for them. Or maybe they enjoy making nice gifts for them. One particular couple I know with this synastry aspect enjoys making each other huge festive wreaths!

Shared understanding of fun: Their sense of humor is the same, and they both enjoy doing the same kind of things. Both enjoy going on adventures, a taste of luxury every now and again, and spending plenty of time with their beloved family and friends.

Creative project collaboration: The couple who I mentioned earlier who make each other wreaths for Christmas every year (without fail!) also love undertaking big creative projects together. For instance, a few years ago, they renovated their whole kitchen together. A few years before that, they renovated most of the bedrooms in their home together. They love designing the spaces together and picking the new colors, styles, themes etc. I think they find that sort of thing extremely entertaining and rewarding.

Potential Challenges

Too much fun: If there is such a thing! In some cases, I suppose it really is possible to spend too much time having fun rather than focusing on the day to day grind. Work needs to be done, household chores need to be done etc. While I imagine that most people with this synastry aspect will absolutely complete all of their important daily tasks to keep life chugging along in the real world, some may be too focused on enjoying themselves. In this case, sometimes, life can go a bit pear shaped. A proper work-life should be ensured.

Overshadowing: Both partners shine. They shine for how bubbly and clever they are, and in many instances, how physically appealing they are. The house partner especially stands out for their creativity and bold personality. Considering this, some jealously or rivalry may occur.

Varied levels of attention: The house partner may wish to have too much fun. The Fortune lover may crave more time with their partner, especially if they spend a lot of time outside of their home having a good time with friends, traveling, and so on.

My Personal Thoughts

I think that if this union is managed well, it can be the relationship of a lifetime for both of them. I’ve seen this synastric connection play out in real life with a couple who are dear friends of mine, and overall, their relationship is upbeat, fun, strong and stable. It’s the stuff of dreams, in my honest opinion! They’ve been together for what feels like eons at this point, and I think they will remain together until the very end. So, the takeaway here is that it can work if both are serious enough, the joy and fun remains in their relationship, and they are both committed to spending a good deal of time together (but not too much that one or both of them become overwhelmed).

Part of Fortune in 6th House Synastry: Everyday Joy, Ease and Support

The 6th is the house of work and, essentially, all things practical. It’s a hardworking, dependable, grounded house if a tad perfectionistic and critical. It’s rooted firmly in day to day reality. Fortuna is more dreamy and idealistic. However, both are focused on making their dreams come true via hard graft. For all intents and purposes, this is a practical union which can very well also be romantic and intimate. Both partners feel as if it’s meant to be and share the common goal of wanting to live a successful, abundant life together as a team.

Benefits

Unwavering mutual support: Practical, emotional and physical support is mutual in this union. They recognize how important a supportive partnership is and they throughly value it. The Fortune person might feel like a prize to the house person, especially if they are particularly intelligent, articulate, hard working, or attractive but they are both a catch for one another.

Mutual well-being boost: This is also the house of health and seeing as Fortune is all about joy and positivity, both partners may very well feel really good together; as in, their company enlivens them and the support they receive from one another makes them feel really secure and stable in life. Feeling cared for and looked after is a wonderful thing for any human to feel and numerous scientific studies have shown how mutually supportive relationships can boost well-being, and even overall health!

Practical and personal growth together: Steady progress in all avenues of life may be more readily achieved when these two are together. They act as sounding boards for one another, and constant change and improvement occurs owing to the house partner’s ability to spot things that are not quite right — or not as good as they could be — in themselves and others. Spiritual evolution may also be possible if this is something they choose to focus on.

Potential Challenges

Highly focused on practicality: Romance is vital in any relationship if it is to survive the years and decades. Of course, work and the day to day stuff are important; we all need to pay our bills, however, it’s a component that simply cannot be left out of a relationship. If romance begins to fall by the wayside, it’s vitally important that it’s nurtured back into a healthy state.

Imbalance of responsibilities: The house partner may feel as if they are doing too much. And not just in terms of work and daily chores but in terms of emotional labour. This can be prevented or remedied if both partners make sure that all domestic labour is split down the middle — and that neither party places too much emotional strain on the other.

Perfectionism and criticism: The house partner may be a bit perfectionistic and spot flaws in their partner which, honestly, may pass other people by. The Fortune person may therefore at times feel like they are being scrutinised too harshly. However, in some instances, the issues/flaws etc that their partner points out may be of benefit to them! They may very well discover that if they “correct” the things that have been pointed out by their lover, that they improve themselves in various different ways!

My Personal Thoughts

I think that this is a highly productive relationship. A lot of nitty gritty, practical stuff gets done here one way or another. And both partners can support each other incredibly well in every way conceivable should they wish to do so. This should, theoretically, come very naturally to them. They just have to remember to nurture their emotional and intimate connection. Then, all should be well and a union that is as productive as it is romantic and supportive, should emerge — and last the distance.

Part of Fortune in 7th House Synastry: Joy in Partnership

This is essentially the same as the Part of Fortune in the Descendant in synastry.

How many times do people truly regard their spouse as a complete, total and utter prize? I think that if we’re to be totally honest with urselves, not too often… This union is the sort where that is very much the case. Both see the other as the catch of a lifetime. The 7th is, after all, about relationships and marriage, and Fortune is about joy, luck, and success. Both placings are strongly associated with positivity; with all the good stuff in life. However, they may also be too idealistic and see each other through rose tinted glasses.

Benefits

Destined connection: I think that all connections we have in life are pre-destined as they are typically part of one’s pre-birth plan. However, the feeling may not always be that the relationship was fated. In this case, that feeling is very much present; both sense that they were meant to meet and have a significant relationship. This synastric connection often means love at first sight, or very soon after meeting, at least.

Ease of compatibility: They feel at ease with one another for the most part. From early on in their relationship, they may be happy to appear however they wish, for instance, wearing whatever they want, and eating whatever they fancy. They’re also happy to discuss the majority of things with other half.

Increased productivity: They may work together as a team to achieve some big goals in life, such as buying a really nice, specious home in a lovely neighbourhood. Or else, they may run a business together, which may be exceptionally successful. Either way, they help each other, not only as romantic partners but also as a productive, mutually supportive team.

Potential Challenges

Personal happiness directly tied to union: I don’t think it’s quite right when we only feel secure and happy in life while we’re in a relationship. That can be a sign that we need to joy and stability as singletons. This is especially important today because relationships aren’t hugely stable at any age. If both partners, but especially the house person, can feel content being single, they will always feel fulfilled and as if a good relationship is just the icing on an otherwise delicious cake!

Fear of disharmony: Some degree of disharmony is normal in every single relationship. We all go through drama. The chapters of our lives are filled with ups and downs. Such is life. This couple, especially the house individual, may, however, really fear the downs, including conflict. They may not wish to rock the boat at all, and may even stay quiet about the things that they find really upsetting or inappropriate. This isn’t especially conducive to any relationship being happy and healthy and lasting. If they are mature enough, which most people are, they can find a calm, open way to discuss their thoughts and feelings.

Growth through relationships: It’s possible that as beautiful as this relationship initially may seem, it serves a powerful learning experience on a Soul level — for the house person primarily. While some of these couples are destined to last the distance, some are meant as opportunities for spiritual growth. They can act as catalysts to point out the themes we may need to work on in this life. Therefore, some can be painful or end without obvious reason.

My Personal Thoughts

This relationship may mean that they idolize each other. This may be healthy and productive or it may be a little bit much. I have a friend with this connection. She was the house partner and she was besotted with her boyfriend. This was back in the early 2000s. He wasn’t all that nice to her, and I think that was, in part due to his young age. He just didn’t really know yet how to treat a partner. She matured so much as a direct result of that painful breakup. The difficulty she endured taught her many valuable lessons. She met her now husband, who she’s extremely happy with, and proud of, a few years ago. I think they make a beautiful couple — in the way they behave and physically. He was a fashion model many moons ago!

Part of Fortune in 8th House Synastry: Shared Depths and Transformation

Ah, we’ve arrived at the 8th house; the house associated with the infinitely enigmatic and magnetic sign of Scorpio. The 8th is the kind of house people pay extra attention to. It’s associated with the things that have fascinated and frightened people since time immemorial — death, the afterlife and the occult.

Of course, it’s also about other things — mainly other people’s resources, tax, and inheritance (and inheritance tax), but the themes of death and the occult are the most fascinating. When this house meets Fortune energy a very intriguing combination is born. Fortune is mainly about joy and light while the 8th house is about the brutal truth and its energy explores the dark side of life. However, it’s also about personal transformation.

The dynamic in this synastric connection is complex to say the least but it does offer both parties plenty of opportunities to build an unshakable foundation as a couple, and the potential for ample personal and spiritual growth.

Benefits

Spiritual awakening: The house partner may somehow trigger a spiritual awakening in their lover. This may happen simply by having spiritual discussions with them and sharing their beliefs and views or it could occur in any other number of other ways including by ending the relationship prompting Soul searching and deep healing. Powerful personal evolution may happen for both of them, though, as the Fortune person also often has plenty of wisdom and insight to share.

Deep Emotional Bond: They feel as if they get understand one another on a very deep level. Like they were meant to be. Sometimes, they don’t even need to speak, they just get what the other person is thinking or feeling. They feel very tightly bonded and as if they complete each other.

Empowerment: They encourage each other to go for their dreams and build the life they want as individuals and as a couple. For instance, if their partner would like to grow their business, they will do all they can to boost their self esteem, and help them in practical ways too. Each wants the other to win at life. Resources are often shared here from an early stage.

Profound healing: Side by side, their deepest fears, wounds, and traumas are examined and brought to the surface for healing. Healing can take place just by talking to each other and/or professionals, but the house person may also introduce spiritual healing. This may include healing modalities like Reiki, psychic consultation, past life regression, QHHT, and other hidden, mystical practices. After all, the 8th is linked to the occult. Personally, I’ve found alternative healing to be remarkably helpful.

Potential Challenges

Jealousy: It may be quite some time before the house person can fully trust their partner. There may be a fear of losing them or betrayal. Until then, they see how their Fortune lover shines, recognize how valuable they are, and that can make them feel a little insecure when they’re around others. This should resolve in time and with enough honesty, love and support from their spouse.

Competition for power: The intensity that bonds them may also trigger some issues surrounding control. This could mean wishing to have control over their partner, over the home they share, over any business they run together, or some other aspect of life. Honest, compassionate, and open communication should help both parties to understand that they will always be on the same team.

Overwhelming connection: They meld so strongly with one another that the connection can feel too much at times. Maturity and emotional grounding is very likely going to be required to channel the depth of this union in a healthy and productive manner. Owing to the depth of this connection if the intensity is handled well, this bond may quite easily last a lifetime and only become more and more enjoyable as the years go by.

My Personal Thoughts

Whenever the 8th is involved in a connection or placement, there’s extra intensity. I think this can be both a wonderful thing and a very challenging thing at the same time because of the deep and complex nature of this house. The shiny, bright, lighthearted energy of Part of Fortune here helps to bring out the most transformational, positive, helpful, and sparkling traits of their partner here so this connection may turn out to be an amazing, and very deep, one.

I knew someone a long time ago with this connection with a previous boyfriend. He was the house partner and early on in their relationship, he introduced her to New Age spirituality and to this day, she still believes in New Age principles. Her new beliefs also lead her to undertake some powerful energy healing which changed many aspects of he life for the better.

Part of Fortune in 9th House Synastry: Exponential Learning and Growth

The 9th house is a fun, lighthearted, spiritual house that loves to learn and teach. It seeks a sense of higher purpose and is always expanding its awareness. Blended with Fortune energy in synastry, a uniquely light, easy, and intelligent connection is formed that is often centred around personal and/or spiritual growth. Both partners encourage each other to learn more about the world around them and to enjoy life as much as possible — while still possible!

Benefits

Shared Vision: They agree that life is to be lived to the fullest. It’s to be grabbed by both hands and enjoyed to the max. Not necessarily in a live-for- the-day, reckless manner, though! Work and daily responsibilities are still carried out but the focus remains on things like travel, exploration, learning  and teaching new things. This is especially true of the house partner, who is constantly encouraging their lover to learn and try all sorts of new things. In this way, the life of their partner may become really enriched indeed and their mind may broaden significantly.

Shared higher purpose: It may be the case that this connection was destined for a specific reason for the greater good. For instance, maybe they do a lot of charity work together as a couple or they get together to help their sick elderly relatives and share the responsibilities associated with their care. Perhaps they set out to teach together in their home country or abroad to educate others in some way that may help to improve their lives. The energy of the Fortune person always flows really well when they’re acting in alignment with their highest joy.

Adventure and Optimism: Since they both love having fun and expanding their horizons in different ways, they stand to make a great team and lead a wonderfully fun and enjoyable life as a couple. Holidays are especially fun for them and they often appear as that sort of loved up, bubbly couple that gets a lot of attention and admiration from others.

Potential Challenges

Clashing beliefs and/or outlooks: It may be the case that their beliefs don’t quite fit. So, despite feeling very connected to one another and enjoying a fun, lighthearted union, they just don’t see eye to eye on things. Perhaps even important things. Their beliefs and/or overall take on life may clash rarely or frequently. The house person may also try to push their beliefs and convince their lover to adopt their views and beliefs. Some clashing is normal; no two people think the same. However, big differences in beliefs and viewpoints can grind their gears. To remedy this, they should try to focus on the common ground they share. I’m sure there will be plenty of it!

Idealization: The house lover may over-idolise their other half. They may place them on a tall pedestal and tell themselves there’s no one else quite like them. While this is lovely on the one hand, it can be a bit dangerous on the other for if the union doesn’t last, it can create an exceptionally painful breakup. But even if the connection does last, seeing them exactly as they are will help them to make better decisions and should ensure that they fully relax around them rather than frequently trying to impress them. The Fortune person may also be prone to becoming overly enamoured with their significant other but to a lesser extent.

Restlessness: At times, there may be a restless energy in this relationship. The house person especially may feel as if they aren’t getting enough out of life. Perhaps they spend too much time outside the home they share with their partner. They may also, at times, feel a bit trapped in their relationship as being with one person is just one experience of many they could be having. If they are truly content with their partner, however, they will be more than happy to stay, have fun, and grow with them. Fortune energy is rare and special energy and they do recognize that.

My Personal Thoughts

I really like this connection. Both energies are bright, light, sparkly, fun and intelligent. They’re also capable and not too dreamy. Both have just the right amount of creative energy, too. And while the house person in particular may be a bit of a thrill seeker, they still understand that they’re in a relationship and that carries its own set of responsibilities. I think that if they both spend enough quality time together and make sure there’s always enough romance, this union should last the distance — and be a very joyous one, too.

Part of Fortune in 10th House Synastry: Legacy Building

This aspect is essentially the same as Part of Fortune in the MC (Medium Coeli) in synastry.

The 10th house of career and public image meets glistening, abundant, and joyful Fortuna. The result is one that boosts both partner’s social images, careers, material wealth and more. Both parties are supportive towards one another, and while some rivalry may exist, this tends to simmer down with time. They are, ultimately, on the same page, which is to lead the life of their dreams as a power couple.

Benefits

Shared ambitions: Their goals are exactly the same. Both aim to inspire each other and consistently aim for greater things. They’re both able to remain focused on their goal-getting, almost as intensely as laser beams! The finer things in life deeply appeal to them and they desire to live a very comfortable life as a couple. They want to build a strong foundation. Strong enough to last a lifetime and leave a meaningful legacy.

Respect and admiration: These two seriously respect and admire each other. They appreciate their respective strengths, accomplishments, and integrity. They uplift one another’s public reputations. They are happy to appear as a power couple and be admired by others. While they may take themselves a bit too seriously at times, people do absolutely admire the strong bond they share, and how they always speak well of one another.

Attracting Opportunities: Since their image as a couple is so solid and admired, they may very well attract various different types of opportunities. For example, they may be asked to speak on relationship success at a conference, or maybe someone hires them to work together as a team. Perhaps, if they run a business together, they may use the image their strong relationship projects to help generate more sales.

Potential Challenges

Imbalanced power dynamics: The house partner may wish to hold the cards, so to speak. Or perhaps the Fortune lover feels as if they should take the reigns and direct the relationship. Of course, working together as a team is really the way forward. Listening to what the other wants is

Overemphasis on appearance: Forming a positive public image is all well and good but it’s important to bear in mind that it’s just one facet of life. A strong, romantic and intimate connection is what may matter more, ultimately. The house person maybe a bit more focused on their image and success so the Fortune person may need to remind them now and again that

Heavy focus on work: Considering how work oriented both of them are, they may focus too strongly on work. After all, they do want to a build a life of abundance together and they also wish to leave a powerful legacy. But, remembering to nurture their romantic and emotional connection is incredibly important too for without this, the relationship may wither. Factoring into their respective schedules, plenty of fun and quality time should ensure that they strengthen their union.

My Personal Thoughts

This is a powerhouse of a couple; a dedicated, serious team. This is such an intensely productive and oftentimes, mature, stable union. If both parties bear in mind that their romantic, emotional, and spiritual connection to one another take precedence over everything else, their union is likely to last and last right up until the very end. Both are totally cognisant of their responsibilities and tend to be highly loyal and dedicated to one another, which I think is wonderful.

Part of Fortune in 11th House Synastry: True Friendship, Vision and Connection

The house of friends, social networks, and tech meets shining and positive Fortuna. This couple is very likely to start out as good friends. It may only become apparent after quite some time has passed that they are actually attracted to one another and could make a fabulous item!

Benefits

Strong friendship: As I mentioned earlier, this union was very likely formed on the foundation of a strong friendship. So, their connection is quite strong and stable off the bat. After all, most relationships, however romantic they start out as, eventually end up being friendships. Not, of course, platonic ones, but a strong friendship eventually forms nevertheless. Seeing as they both get along so well, this union gets a very powerful head start.

Shared ideals: The ideals they share are essentially the same. Or at least, they’re very similar. They may both hold a certain vision in their minds for what they’d like the world to look like or how to change things for the better. And, as a couple, they may go about trying to make things better, as well as their own lives, of course. They make a great, mutually supportive team.

Busy social life: Since the 11th is the house of friendship and Fortune is naturally people oriented, this couple tends to be highly sociable. Their social circle may always be changing and/or expanding. Plenty of fun is had wit their friends and their friends may also help them with their careers somehow.

Future oriented: There’s a feeing of being focused on the future. The house person often thinks of the future, and I don’t just mean the future of humanity but the future of their relationship. As such, they may always have one foot in the now and one in the future. They may enjoy making all sorts of plans for the future as well as reading up about scientific and technological advancements.

Potential Challenges

Sudden changes: Priorities and schedules may also be subject to frequent, unexpected change. This means the relationship may not be hugely predictable. While the house person is more OK with this and the one who actions most abrupt changes, the Fortune person may be the one who encourages them to stay grounded in the present. It’s important that they are able to predict, at least to some extent, what will take place in the near and far future.

Emotional distance: There may be an air of aloofness and emotional coolness. The bond can feel a lot more like their old friendship at times and that may really bother the Fortune partner as they do want a solid romantic connection.

Reduced social circle: If ever the couple breaks up, since there are so many people who they are friends with and connected to, they may find that, as humans do, some people take sides and break away from them.

My Personal Thoughts

Relationships built on strong friendships are often especially stable. However,  one or both partners may sometimes feel as if they are just still friends. Spending quality time together — alone and without any other people around, should help them to keep the flame of romance burning bright. A couple I knew a long time ago had this aspect and they were friends for years before they become an item. They’re still a couple and go on plenty of adventures together and they enjoy a big and diverse group of friends. Their lives are rich and fun and they seem to have mastered a good work-life balance. However, they did need to focus quite a lot on nurturing their romantic life together in the beginning if their relationship as they were transitioning from friends only to lovers.

Part of Fortune in 12th House Synastry: Joy in the Sacred and Unseen

When the emotionally deep, spiritually advanced 12th house of dreams and the subconscious aligns with fortuitous and joyful Fortune energy, the bond created is rather mystical. It may not be so obvious in the beginning how both parties feel toward one another but as some time goes by, they feel increasingly drawn to each other and recognize their connection as being destined.

Benefits

Intense contentment: So happy and relieved are they that they have finally found the partner of their dreams that they cannot wait to enter into a committed relationship. While some people may be a bit apprehensive about serious commitment, for these two, it comes effortlessly. They are happy to not be single anymore and look forward to starting their lives as a couple.

Creative and/or mystical pastimes: The house person may be especially interested in very creative hobbies like painting, drawing, making music, signing, and so on. They may also be into mystical or occult pursuits like tarot reading, palm reading, past life regression, aura reading, spiritual healing etc. As such, they may very well introduce their lover to their alternative hobbies and interests.

Karmic finale: If there’s some unfinished business from a past life they once shared, their connection in this incarnation may help to provide both parties with karmic closure. This doesn’t mean that they’ll only be together for a brief while, while completing whatever they have, though! It may be that they planned to spend the rest of their lives together in this incarnation because they were somehow prevented from being together in the past.

Potential Challenges

Unable to read each other: There may be some emotional confusion. Despite their deep emotional, and someone otherworldly, bond, they just don’t get or can’t read each other sometimes. The house partner is more likely to be the one who can’t be read. However, this can be dealt with by speaking to one another and telling them how they feel and what they think.

Isolation from the world: They could be so incredibly happy and comfortable with each other that they accidentally isolate themselves from others. Apart from say going to work and coming back, they might find that they spend so much time in the cozy home they’ve built together, that it slips their minds to keep up with people. Of course, this can be sorted quickly and with ease by just remembering that it’s important to stay connected with others outside their own family unit.

Imbalance of give and take: One person — in particular the house individual — may find that they unconsciously (or consciously) give too much to their partner. They may become too compassionate toward them, too forgiving and so on and boundaries can become blurry. This can eventually taint the connection and perhaps even cause resentment to build. The balance of give and take between them should just remain healthy and all will be well.

My Personal Thoughts

The 12th is such a profound, mysterious, and mystical house. It’s also so spiritual. And Fortune is just so upbeat and full of promise. This is a joyful and seriously deep and meaningful partnership. If both play their cards well, they can enjoy one another’s insightful and intuitive company for many years, if not decades, to come. That balance of give and take just needs to stay in good shape — as it does for all of us really, no matter what synastry aspects we have!
